Poppies

We went out compost mining  this morning. Marian found a good source of well-rotted horse shmanure (two years old for you connoisseurs) and she got one load last week. Today she took me along to assist. It certainly is a large heap and I'm not surprised they're keen to get rid of it so they have room for more fresh stuff.

That was enough excitement for one day, I haven't done much else. Just messing about with odd bits that needed doing.

I planned that it would be a poppy blip today but I wanted to leave it until the sun was dropping down. That east wind was still blowing this morning but it dropped this afternoon. After so many poppies being blown to bits yesterday it was good see that some new ones had joined the display.
