Covid carrier...

Another scorcher, and definitely more people than of late around in the town this morning. MrM and I, still keen to keep the virus at a distance, went for another evening walk and saw hardly anyone.  My knee is still playing up so it was a shortish walk, to the Common the easy way, but then up  through the woods and across the heathy grassland to the Humbleton track. We stopped for a while to watch a barn owl hunting, unfortunately too far away for a decent shot.

As the sun disappeared behind the hills, the temperature dropped sharply, and it was quite chilly in the breeze as we headed down the track. Another pause, this time for a couple of photos of a tree on the slopes of Humbleton Hill (extra), but then spotted this plane. A rare sight these days! Heading north east, it seemed to be gaining height. No idea where it was flying to, but definitely not Greece - as from mid-June, tourists from 29 countries will be allowed to fly there, but not from the UK, where the Covid-19 infection rate is still too high to be considered 'safe'.
