In Search of Bambi.

I left home earlier this evening to give myself plenty of time to explore a few fields in the hope that I might find a fawn curled up in the grass.
Tractors were busy still cutting and bailing the lower fields so I continued up to the higher ground.
I found my way into an area which isn't farmed anymore. The grass was really long and before I walked far, I had disturbed several resting deer.
I caught this female as she raced downhill.
Quietly moving after her I was still hoping to see a fawn but instead I was thrilled to see a large dog fox and a hare, who both disappeared back into the woods at the side of the field.
Bambi will have to wait for another day ...
