Little Things

The irises are having their moment - they don't usually last long, and the rain this afternoon will probably hasten their demise. 

Yes, rain! Not heavy, but steady, so hopefully it will have got to the roots of the vegetables at least.

It has been a day of small events. An altercation between our strange neighbour and someone from down the hill, over the access for the cherry-picker and crew she hires every year to cut her 20 feet high hedge. The missing cat food order turned up, just in time, there's only a couple of days' supply left. TM went for a cycle, his first in about 6 years. He survived. Nat sent  a video of Nico with the origami garden she had made today. She explained the process in great detail and finished by telling us that she loved us. Sniff, sniff ..........After tea, TM was in the Isolation Inn again, with another of his pals. 

Such is life, at the moment.
