The Fifie

Well it isn't exactly, but this what is left of the pier which saw the "Fifie" berth several times each day as it ferried passengers between Newport in Fife and Dundee. The Tay Road Bridge has of course taken its place and whilst not quite as romantic as the spectacle of ferry it does so in a far more efficient manner.

I think the last I heard was that one of the ferries used on this short trip found its way to Malta, but for whatever reason had sunk in Valetta Harbour.

This was a quick picture taken last week after having dropped Peopletwitcher off at Life in Fifes house where wine was taken and macaroons consumed.
