Sequence ravelled out of Sound

I really do like the pictured 2010 Biography of Emily Dickinson - you absolutely get to meet the poet 'head on', right throughout the entire volume ...

... here's some (unmistakable) Dickinson verse, from within the Chapter on her struggles with depression and irrationality:

I felt a Cleaving in my Mind

I felt a Cleaving in my Mind —
As if my Brain had split —
I tried to match it — Seam by Seam —
But could not make them fit.

The thought behind, I strove to join
Unto the thought before —
But Sequence ravelled out of Sound
Like Balls — upon a Floor.
