Sticky Bob

Emergency blip, thanks to Jools for the idea of the fisheye.

As children we knew this plant as the Sticky Bob.  It's the Lesser Burdock (Arctium minus), and later in the year its dried flowerheads have hooked bracts like velcro that stick to clothes (and fur).

It was a cool, cloudy day, a good day for working in the garden.  I trimmed a vigorous privet hedge and we went for a lovely long walk.  But it would have been so nice if it would have rained :-(

The extra is a forest for a spider.  It was originally an elder flower bud.  Thanks for this one to gen2.
