Into the bush

Torrential rain all night and for most of the day - almost Irish standards. We nipped out in a lull in proceedings and headed to Payne's Ford and the bush where everywhere was lush and drippy. This is a popular climbing centre for out of the bush emerges enormous craggy rocks. We followed one trail and wondered at the bravery/foolhardiness and stamina of the climbers - Will would love it. More mega trees and creepers and amongst this all some familiar jewel-like hawthorn berries - how did they get here?

I caught up on computer stuff so there's a new blog should you care to peruse it. A remarkable spot.
