Wet stuff

After all the weeks of glorious weather and record-breaking lack of rain, things changed today as forecast. Seeing rain drops on the bedroom window seemed really strange.

I've been saying it over and over again to anyone who'd listen: We were blessed to have such weather during the months of lockdown. February was pretty rotten as far as I remember, but those days of all-too-typical Irish weather seem very, very long ago. Why is it, despite all the glorious days and all the time spend in the open air and all the gardening done and all the support from Carl and Alison and favourite-cousin Sharon the designated shopper — why is it, despite all this, that I felt cheated when the rain came.
