A Trip Out

I have been missing my regular trips to RHS Wisley, so was delighted to be able to get one of the pre-booked tickets to the gardens for today, which also turned out to be the last day of the really hot, summery weather we have been experiencing.

The gardens were looking magnificent, and the RHS had limited visitor numbers to a level where it wasn't too hard to eliminate people from photos altogether (extras), and social distancing even in the most popular areas was easy to maintain.

Apart from the more formal plantings, I really liked the meadow area next to the rock gardens, with its wild flowers and orchids.

Although I am fortunate to be able to walk into the countryside from my house, being able to make a "proper day out" was a much anticipated and needed treat, and I was even able to buy an ice cream from one of outside catering outlets to end the day.
