There's such a jumble of roofs in this photo - I will attempt to explain it! The little square tower with the pointy roof belongs to the local Anglican church. The tall chimneys and bits and pieces beyond the church belong to the old manor house, most of which was burned down in the 1940's. By that stage, most of its grounds had already been sold off I think. The remaining part has been converted into flats. The roofs in front of the church belong to various ancient cottages. As mentioned a few days ago, this is the really old part of the village.
