A young Blue tit eyeing up some suet pellets

Damp days, overcast skies. Bird life in the garden has been busy with the newly fledged learning to fly and discovering how to find food.

This young Blue tit was following several others around the trees and shrubs near the house from where it could see some suet pellets in the bird feeder. I stood nearby outside the back door as they approached and despite being wary of me, they tried to copy the adults to get the food.
