Spinach is good for you

We have a glut of spinach in the garden. And I read in the weekend Guardian that, according to a Dutch scientific study, that vitamin K was so good for usthat it could be a protection against COVID 19.

As spinach, blue cheese and eggs are are good sources of Vitamin K I made us a pie. So here is my take on Spanakopita - it was tasty!

#2 daughter had a scary day - her work asked everyone to log in for a briefing. She was so anxious and rightly so - they announced 36 redundancies. So awful for people. I know it’s happening all over the country but somehow when it comes closer it makes it more real. She is spared so far.

The good bit was James had a good day a school and Thomas asked if she’d take him on a 20 mile bike ride. He’s only 7. They made it to the Tyne Bridge and home. He is a wee star - so determined.

#3 daughter had a good day too. She’s getting so much satisfaction from the allotment and all the lovely old men who are advising her. Her husband goes back to work at the weekend so things will get hard - doing her work on-line and home/schooling Ella and Nathaniel.
