Red-a-Ven Brook

Today is our 30th Wedding Anniversary, where did all that time go.  We decided to go out for a walk with our son on Dartmoor, as the usual trips like going out for a meal or pub lunch are not possible.  We did an old favourite walk with a bit of everything ie a bit of Dartmoor, starting from Okehampton, a walk by a brook and a stroll along a river then back through the park and up the hill to our car in the station carpark.  The military were using the artillery area and we were quizzed as we walked nearby but fortunately our walk didn't cross the land.  This shot show the Red-a-Ven brook that flows off Dartmoor where we had our picnic lunch.  Foxgloves in peak condition were colouring up the scene, growing in different locations throughout the walk.  It was a good walk and our son was impressed with all the different animals and variety of scenery.

Back home now and our son is cooking dinner for us, we will be opening the celebratory bottle shortly.
