Shelled

...not the main, but the extra shows the first peas we harvested today and shelled as part of our salad. The sweet peas were a happy surprise. I planted a few last year, but they didn't thrive. So when one or two came back this year I was pretty pleased, and today it bloomed and smelled delicious. 

Thunder and lightening outside in the darkness. I'd given up on rain and the garden was gasping, so went ahead and watered...thereby ensuring that it would pour buckets when I went indoors. That's ok, the ground needed it.
