Feels like autumn....

A very dull damp day once again. A, very few, glimpses of the sun.
A long phone call with my sister this morning.
After lunch I was reading then listened to the last episode of a really excellent thriller on BBC Sounds from Radio 4. Five episodes all together. “The Unforgiven”.
It was like listening to a Patricia Cornwell novel. One of them with Scarpetta included..
I wouldn’t listen to it at bedtime!
More reading as it was raining on and off and felt chilly in an increasingly blustery wind.
Hubby has been baking. Lemon Polenta cake. I took some of it to our next door neighbours as their two now grown up children are back at home with them. Their daughter was having to do her Finals (4 yr degree course) on-line, and will be 21 soon.
Their son finished University last summer after his Masters, but couldn’t get a permanent job, so did temporary work until he was offered a job here to start in September. He has no work at present and all four of them have been cooped up together for this Lockdown period. Mum and dad working on-line at home too.
Stephen and I have had it easy compared to others.
I hadn’t taken a photo so went up to the loft bedroom a few minutes ago and took this one, looking out over the gardens at the back.
We’ve had the living room lights on since tea-time as it is rather gloomy outside.
Looks, and feels, like autumn just now.
Oh, and the phone hasn’t yet arrived.
