A grass snake

unfortunately quite recently hit by a car.
It tried to hide in the grass of the roadside, but couldn't crawl fast enough.
It threatened me with a wide open beak, quite impressive.
A pity, but perhaps was it strong enough. I couldn't see any wound, no blood. It was just slow and behaving a bit weird.
