Iconic Upper Falls

Michigan's beautiful Upper Tahquamenon Falls.

Today we did a sightseeing loop in the upper peninsula.  Our first stop was Whitefish Point. It was cloudy and cool while we were there plus nothing was open (not even the restrooms) so we only stayed long enough to walk out to the beach for a few photos.  Our second stop was Tahquamenon Falls.  It's been years since we have been here.  It's always been one of my favorite parks to visit.  One of the extras is a shot of the pileated woodpecker we saw along the trail to the falls. On the way back to the Sault, we stopped at a few spots along the way for photos before stopping for lunch at a place in Brimley.  The other extra is a shot of the Point Iroquois Lighthouse.
