The Silence Of The Birds

Warns bad weather or a storm is on its way .Such was today . Very hot & humid but left the flat  late due to a long skype call with Australia . Outside the silence was almost "deafening".. Not a bird to be heard.Then came black clouds , wonderful to see & feel rain Still sat outside for coffee. It soon became clear this was only  the start of it .Plan A ,rescheduled .Had more coffee and knew things were improving when a young sparrow 
came to sit next to my foot .It got crumbled nuts and cake .The thunder and lightning was terrific .Some may say silly to sit out but the air was so enjoyable as the humidity dropped . The clouds in this image reminded me of waves ..Maybe tomorrow will be suitable for plan A.
Still heavenly percussion ..Makes me smile, since when very young we would say " God was moving the furniture around "
