Shetland Staands wi Black Lives Matter

A fairly calm start to the day, bit breezy tonight.  Mostly cloudy, with mist on the east.  Warm and muggy, and cooler tonight.

Weekend off, and up early to start the day.  Picked up a secondhand desk today, no more picnic table for me.  Headed out walkies, and popped by Madeline's for a cuppa in the garden.  Met up with friend Julie at mam's, and we headed out for a walk.  A cooler evening, so I set up the wind break and got the fire pit on, and enjoyed a couple beers in the garden.  After getting smoked out, back inside, and feet up.

We headed out from mam's for a protest walk for the Black Lives Matter.  Supporting worldwide, friends, but especially family.  My brother Jonny's bairns have African American heritage from their mam, and proud of it, along with their Shetland heritage.  I would love to say racism doesn't exist here, but sadly it does, mostly from not thinking stupidity, rather as hatred.  Growing up in the 1980s, mam had Asian friends, and also worked for a Bangladeshi family, so we were used to different cultures from a young age.  Me, mam and bro Jonny outside mam's, Aith, Cunningsburgh.
