The great return

Compared with being under lockdown or cocooned or in isolation or staying home or however you want to describe the strange circumstances of the past ten weeks, this week has been a matter of little step after little step along the road to some form of normality. Today was another step along the way. For the past three months Carl has visited my local pharmacy to pick up my tablets, but today it was my turn to collect them in person.

Ed the main man welcomed me back with enthusiasm, we chatted about the weirdness of it all, I met the new guy who was busy stocking shelves, and I left with a cheery 'see you next month' — just like old times (almost).
