.... also known as the Dog Rose.
There are a couple of these shrubs just behind the fence surrounding the wee nature reserve in the Heritage Park.

It was rather dull when I went for my early, before church walk but by lunchtime the sun was shining and it was warmer outside than in the house!

Put some weedkiller on the grass to try and get rid of the dandelion roots and the clover which has recently appeared ..... time will tell if it has worked.
