No longer a pet cemetery

A LOT of effort went into our garden today. The result of this is that the border against our north wall no longer looks like a pet cemetery (as it did on 4th June, according to my not-so-little sister). My extra is a shot of the head gardener and his assistant. They are enjoying a beer towards the end of their Sunday shift.

Also today I reached a milestone on my secret recreational project - it should run itself now for the next few months - and mid-afternoon we welcomed Liz and Tony for afternoon tea of cucumber sandwiches, chocolate brownies, and the lemon drizzle cake that I baked yesterday. I lost the one game of Carcassonne - mainly due to unlucky tile draws.

Exercise today: none.
