The rain has stopped and the sun made a brief appearance. And it has warmed up considerably. Our horrible hedge is transformed by the blooming of Tropaeolum specious, otherwise known as the Scottish flame flower, because, to quote Wiki, it does particularly well in Scotland. (It likes a cool, moist root run and acid soil - we can supply that).  

I live in hope that one day it will cover the entire hedge. In twelve years it has managed nearly half of it, so who knows, I may live to see the day ...

Another week gone, they fly by, amazingly, since one day is so much like another.
