In Your Face

After lunch, I took my son downtown today, intending to go to the zoo, something I haven't got around to yet. I also had to get another battery for my Canon, so the first destination was Wicklow Street. But on the way there, I was halted by the brashness of these flowers, a voluptuous abundance of unreal colours casually heaped on a table behind the streetsellers's stalls. The sellers were good-natured about my crouchings and anglings behind their backs, as was my son, who looked on patiently from his Quinny, taking in the frieze of colourful streetlife.
