Flower Of Scotland

Haven't been over the door for the last few days so it was good to leave the house and go for a short walk. Spotted this little fella enjoying himself on Scotland's national emblem, the prickly-leaved purple flower is a big favourite among pollinator insects.

My album of the day is "Texas Sugar Strat Magik" by Chris Duarte. A debut album that showcased his brand of Texas blues-rock, which I would liken to SRV. Still to develop as a songwriter but to me that doesn't matter, this album is a favourite of mine because of the big fat rich guitar sound he generates with his Stratocaster. Gentle lyrical phrases or blistering solos, it's simply a great guitar album.
