On the day that non-essential shops reopened I decided we would have a walk at Tarn Hows. We encountered the belted galloway cattle on the road as we approached the car park. The foxgloves were impressive and there were flowers on the water lilies. We also saw damselflies (too fast to photograph) and a jay.

I attacked the beech hedge again after lunch but stopped work and put tools away at the sound of thunder. The sky to the northeast was very dark but we escaped the rain.
