Do I measure inches, or minutes?

I heard thunder a while before anything reached us - HOWEVER - reach us it did.  What you're seeing is about 45-50 minutes worth of precipitation.  I snuck between the drops after it had eased off to be merely raining; not yet emptied it, to see what 24 hrs yields.
