This....

...is how happy I am when we go on an outing to the small ice cream hut by the locks and it’s open for business!! 

It was a warm and sunny Sunday, and we drove to the locks downstream and parked there, so we could walk along the the canal up to the small marina just next to the other locks, because that’s where the ice cream hut is. It was fab! Mum said she would have liked to go for a swim. Yeah. Right. 

The hut is unmanned, so mum picked an ice cream from the freezer and paid with her phone. There is also an honesty box. We sat at our favourite table and shared our ice cream, and it was magnificent! Quite a lot of people were there, either hiking/walking or going out in their boats. Mum wished we had a boat. Yeah. Right. 

It was such a great outing! The extra is going up, going down, my ice cream, the hut, me helping out as a lock keeper and us at the marina.
