Rush-hour at the bird feeder

There was a lot of coming and going at the peanuts this afternoon and I was lucky to catch this trio together at the same time.

It was my mother-in-law's funeral today and because of covid-19 restrictions it all took place at the graveyard with only six of us at the graveside with the minister. However, we were really touched by the support from many friends in our community who stood along the route of the hearse and on the hillside outside the graveyard. The sun shone and the insects flitted around the flowers while birds flew overhead. It was a strangely beautiful and bitter-sweet occasion; so fitting for a nature-loving lady.
