Through To The Light

The far bank is in deep shadow by this time, yet the warm evening light behind the trees looks so inviting. I have tried to capture scenes along here numerous times, but the contrast is so strong it's difficult to get right.

I kept the trees dark, but with detail and tried to lighten the grass beyond as much as possible. I like the sidelight on the trunks and branches and the grass flowerheads in the foreground.
