Lowther Castle

Yesterday, after we saw the poppy field we went onto Lowther Castle near Penrith.

The castle itself doesn't have a roof ( it was removed years ago to avoid death duties!!! )

The cafe and toilets were open...( they do first class food ).

So much to see in the grounds these days!

Well worth a visit!
