Bedraggled

Well it rained, and rained, and rained!

When it finally eased I had a quick walk, picked up a wormer for the cat and then had a quick inspection of the garden.  In our non-fruiting apple tree (that's another story) a wood pigeon has built her nest and started to incubate eggs.  I have not seen her leave the nest for a few days so despite the incessant rain she has resolutely protected her eggs, while the rain has drenched her feathers.  I just hope it is worth it for her.
