Abney Park cemetery

This cemetery covering an area of 31 acres in Stoke Newington in inner London is a great place to go for a cool stroll in summer. It was originally planned and set up in the early 18th century as an arborteum park and cemetery and has many old trees shading the maze of paths.
The cemetary is now closed to new internments and full with over 200,000 people buried here and has now reverted back to being part of it's original plan as a park with educational and cultural aspects.
