About to turn

Other Side of the Fence

This day really zipped by. Suddenly it's evening, and we're sitting in the living room listening to the chorus frogs discussing life outdoors. They have such a soothing, peaceful croak - unlike the cicadas we get when it really turns hot. W. reminds me that this may be the summer of the Seventeen Year Cicada. I'll have to look up the forecast. Seventeen summers ago we lived in a townhouse in Herndon, near Dulles Airport, and the cicadas were thick on the ground and in the trees. Really deafening. Our daughter was six or seven months old, and her stroller wheels sometimes crunched. :)

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
