Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

Juneteenth

The day in 1865 that ended slavery in the United States…. 2 years after Abraham LIncoln’s emancipation proclamation.    It’s been celebrated for that long and our president tried to tell us he invented the holiday!     More marches everywhere.   Also Seattle as of today is now in phase 2 of getting back to normal.  I can’t see any difference but think it’s going to get weirder and more individual interpretation by people who are anxious to be rid of the whole thing.  Museums don’t open til phase 3.

My big event of the day was a trip to a nursery and planting the pots on the side of our condo….since we are here I couldn’t look at the empty pots any more.  We’ll see if I can manage to grow them.  Set up the irrigation system in anticipation of being out of here sometime,

Wow..a flower for flower Friday!!
