Lollipop spikes

Persicaria affinis is a creeping, mat-forming perennial, with narrow green leaves and lollipop spikes of pale pink and red flowers. As it is semi-evergreen, it is a good choice for ground cover in a mixed border and survives extreme drought or rain. I used to think it was called polygonum but don't think that's correct.
