Waist high grasses laden with pollen

Out walking at 7.30 this morning, cool and cloudy. The weather was much better after we got back.

Walked the Caring Lane area which we like being as it’s quieter and with little traffic noise. The path crosses a golf course and disappears into this long grass and into some woods between fairways.

This grass is hay-fever on stalks, brushing past it sends up clouds of pollen. Thankfully we don’t suffer.

While Susan was cleaning this afternoon I applied the penultimate coat of paint to the outside of the studio. Another hour will see it done and crossed off the list. I replaced cord in the petrol strummer, what a palaver that was. Never used the thing in three years as I couldn’t get it started and didn’t get around to doing anything about it. Good old Bob fixed it and it’s now ready to go. Stand by at the allotment?
