The Lost Card

This, Blipfriends, is a totally amazing and incredible story! We think it might be some kind of record, even!

When mum emptied the mailbox, the real one not the email one, the other day, there was a postcard in there with a small, painted blue bird. She turned it over, and it had a totally unfamiliar stamp on it. We sometimes get postcards from abroad, but this was something else.

The message was definitely for mum, and someone called Kate from Moscow had sent it. Mum just stared at it. Then she saw the date. April 29th 2016.

A couple of years ago, mum was in a postcard exchange community. She sent cards to strangers all over the world, and got one back for each card. This card must have been sent as the very last one. Where has it BEEN for over four years?? What has it been DOING? It’s a miracle it’s finally arrived! Mum has tried to contact the sender to let her know.

Varakushka, that’s what this little bird is called in Russian.
