Carnoustie Hoolit

A lovely overnight in Carnoustie with an old friend.

A lovely walk in the mid afternoon along the coast then along the golf course and finally through the MOD ground (once the nice man told us we could go in as he was taking the red flags down - better to avoid being shot I think!!).

Two short eared owls treated us to a silently graceful display as the sun was getting low.

Had to bump up the ISO and visibility wasn't great but I was happy with this shot, particularly how the light shone through the feathers...

I really do love owls and felt so privileged watching them.

Then back to the hotel for some prosecco and a marathon catch up!
