Downcast Gazania

The Gazanias open when the sun shines. If the sun doesn’t show for several days the flowers hang lower and lower. I understand how they feel.

My pea straw was delivered today. I bought it from the local Lions Club. Ten bales stacked along the fence three or four deep looked like a wall. My son moved them in case the proximity to the road made them too tempting for somebody. I will use them as windbreaks in various places, to replace the old ones that have broken down enough to use as mulch in the garden. It’s too dry here to use fresh straw as mulch as it doesn’t rot down and it will blow away in the next nor’west gale. I learned the hard way.
