Pooh Sticks!

Lovely day today. First a mad dash to the gym/creche for Jim/W and to swimming for Carys. After swimming we headed up to Newark to see friends that we were supposed to see the weekend the snow hit.

It is a year since I have been up there and two since Jim has been there. I think he was very impressed with the work that they have done to their amazing house. L is 36weeks pregnant and wanting the baby to come sooner rather than later now the majority of the building work has been done.

Initially the children were a little wary of each other, but once they warmed to each other they were racing around the house screaming "Panic, panic!" Strange game!

This is them, playing a form of Pooh Sticks where they all individually dropped their sticks an squealed when they saw their stick on the other side. No competition to see whose cameunder first. The only competition seemed to be how far through the bridge they could lean without falling in. William won that one, as Jim had to grab the back of his coat at one point!

A lovely roast dinner later and the clock moved from 17.15 to 19.30 without is noticing and it was time to put kids in Pj's and head home. They were asleep almost the minute we hit the A1 and we successfully lifted them at this end. Watched Match of the Day with a glass of red. Newcastle beat Chelsea, almost enough to make up for the rugby earlier in the day. A good day all round.
