Sunlit

Up until mid afternoon the weather was back at its summery best, and I couldn't resist the way the bright sunlight was shining onto the chair in the corner through the partially open blinds.

After that we had another one of our music-group Zoom meetings. With yesterday's government announcement of the acceleration of the reopening roadmap, we discussed our own return to normal and escape from Zoom. In the end we decided to wait another few weeks to see how the relaxation of restrictions affects the infection numbers.

After that weighty topic it was good to cross the city to join Carl and his mother to celebrate his birthday with a nice meal together in her house. The wind and the rain returned as we sat round the table, but that didn't dampen the conversation and the feeling of relief at being able to get together once again after all these months.

Carl's mum had suggested that I spend the night so as not to risk driving home with drink on, which I was glad to do.
