Wing Span

My husband and I went kayaking on Beaver Lake, a 31,000+ acre reservoir in the Ozark Mountains. We covered a few acres anyway. The shoreline varies but much of it is steep cliffs with large homes on the top (extra 2). The lake was formed when the White River was dammed in the 1960's - shown in a blip in March (Dam). The dam flooded the valley, including one town - Monte Ne - which many tourists dive down to see.

Not a perfectly clear photo but I really like it anyway. I got some pictures of the heron before it landed on the boat house (extra 1) and again when it took off. This is when it landed on the shoreline.
