I love hearing and seeing the gangs of juvenile birds at this time of year. They flit about in noisy troupes full of joie de vivre. Yesterday I photographed young blue tits and long-tailed tits. This morning a flock of young goldfinches whizzed past. I captured this one as it took off from the aluminium glasshouse. It has its golden wing feathers but not the red head plumage yet.
