California Knee Quilt

A present via the mail is always an interesting event. Pat’s cousin Michelle sent this knee quilt she had made for Pat.

It is particularly significant in that the floral squares were actually the remainder of material which Pat and Michelle had worked on to make a quilt for their “Ava” or grandmother several decades ago.

The armchair in the photo is an American Victoria n chair belonging their other Ava which came through the 1906 San Francisco earthquake pretty much as it is today.
