Derelict State

A breezy day, with a calm evening.  Sunshine this morning, clouded over in the afternoon, and a sunny evening.  Fine and warm all day.

I spent the morning working at my desk, the afternoon off again, and working tonight.  Met up with Julie again, and it for walkies up north, and in the Sullom forest.  Headed down to sister Laura's after tea, with mam.  We headed out for a walk, and enjoyed a cuppa out in the garden, with the beautiful sunny evening (and no midges).

I've blipped this old house a few times, and it's slowly deteriorating, with the roof exposing the interior now.  It's not only the house that's a worry now, the hotel to the left, the Moorfield, is under threat of closure, and a deteriorating economy up north.  A slump in oil and Sullom Voe, has caused the closure of Scatsta airport, with a knock on effect to other businesses.  One of my close friends works in the hotel, and a real worry for her and others.  Hopefully things will pick up soon.  Taken at Southness, Sullom.
