Gwaith y dydd ~ The work of the day

Roedd to'r Cwtsh wedi cwympo yn un cornel oherwydd bod un o'r trawstiau fertigol wedi cael ei bydru. Roedd rhai i mi drwsio fe ar unwaith cyn iddo waethygu - felly roedd hynny'r gwaith y dydd.

Gwnes i bropio'r to i fyny i weld beth rhaid i fi wneud. Roedd rhaid i mi dorri'r  pren wedi'i bydru cyn torri darn arall i rhoi yn ei lle. Gwnes i  sgriwio a gludo popeth gyda'i gilydd cyn gostwng y to i'w le.  Roedd e'n llawer o waith ar ddiwrnod poeth ond roedd yn rhaid ei wneud. Yn y diwedd roeddwn i'n hapus gyda'r canlyniad. 

Rydw i'n meddwl bydd y Cwtsh yn para blwyddyn arall cyn rhaid i ni ei ddisodli'n llwyr.

The roof of the Cwtsh had collapsed in one corner due to the rotting of one of the vertical beams. I had to repair it immediately before it got worse - so that was the day's work.

I propped the roof up to see what I had to do. I had to cut the rotten wood before cutting another piece to replace it. I screwed and glued everything together before lowering the roof into place. It was a lot of work on a hot day but it had to be done. In the end I was happy with the result.

I think the Cwtsh will last another year before we have to replace it completely.
