Giant Hogweed

Such a change in the weather, and the light, today. The temperature has dropped and we have rain. No thunder storms though. I walked round the river looking at the infestation of hogweed. The local authority is only dealing with what's in public areas. There is so much on the riverbank which will send its seeds far and wide ready for many more plants next year. It really is a dangerous plant and an invasive menace.

I had a poor night with trips to the kitchen for soothing drinks during the hours of darkness. Absolutely hopeless really. There isn't much to tempt me outside now with the rain falling so a quiet hour or two now beckons.

Some rearrangement of holiday plans has happened today with tentative hopes for later in the year. We're all in a 'wait and see situation' so let's just wait and see.
