Life through the lens...

National Cream Tea Day.

Apparently the last Friday in June is National Cream Tea Day.
So of course had to bake some scones.
Could have done with some of Rodda’s Cornish Cream, but made do with Longley Farm Extra Rich Jersey Cream, which is almost most as good.
We enjoyed these with a cuppa this afternoon, and I also gave some to our neighbours.

It started raining a bit on our walk this morning. Only a few light spots, but thought we were in for a storm. However it passed over, and we were dry by the time we reached home.
This afternoon it has been sunny again and very hot.
A couple of rumbles of thunder at tea time, and once again the storm passed us by.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow as we are invited to a certain ladies 21st.

I forgot to mention yesterday that MrC had been asked to take part in a Covid- 19 testing research study ( Wave 2)
He did the test yesterday morning. Managed very well as it wasn’t that pleasant.
It had to be done before 8am and then put in the fridge until a courier collected it, which was just after 9am.
We should find out the results in about a weeks time.
It was the online survey which was the longest part of the procedure.

As it is Flower Friday I have put a collage on extra of our garden roses.
They are really looking their best at the moment.

Have a good weekend everyone, and stay safe.
